About me
Erica Friedman (she/her) LICSW, MPH
I am a collaborative, compassionate & affirming therapist. I treat people impacted by anxiety, life transitions & stressors associated with high-stress environments. I have lived experienced as a queer woman & I work extensively with the LGBTQIA+ community.
I spend a lot of time outdoors – hiking, biking & running – often with my little dog, Ollie. I have spent many years overseas and I continue to enjoy traveling & cooking different foods from all over the world.

Education & Trainings
I completed an undergraduate degree in Political Science & Psychology at the University of Michigan. I also have a Master of Social Work (MSW) & Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Pittsburgh. I have completed a number of trainings including:
- 3,000 hours of supervised clinical time at the DC VA Medical Center where I specialized in short-term therapy, trauma and substance abuse.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS)
- 2-Day Intensive Workshop: Treating Complex Trauma with Internal Family Systems (IFS)
- Mastering IFS Therapy for Clinical Challenges: Resolving Trauma, Anxiety, Attachment Injuries, & Addiction
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- 4 Day Intensive Boot Camp with ACT co-founders Drs. Steven Hayes & Kelly Wilson and master ACT trainer Dr. Robyn Walser
